Tesco has long embraced the phrase "every little helps", but it seems one of its petrol stations accidentally took price cuts a little too far.

The station fixed the pump a full six days after it was first noticed by customers

The Cambridgeshire branch was swamped with motorists after a faulty pump mistakenly dispensed fuel for 40p a litre for nearly a week.
Queues of traffic built up around the forecourt in Milton as word spread of the bargain price.
Customers with a 50-litre tank were filling up at a saving of almost £35.
They were pumping in £54 worth of 107p-a-litre petrol for only £20.
Staff only learned of the error after a customer blabbed about the pump bonanza on a local radio station.
An engineer fixed the problem on Friday morning - six days after it was first noticed by customers.
"This was a technical fault at the pump and an engineer has now rectified the problem," a Tesco spokesman said.
"Although we always aim to keep prices down at the pumps, unfortunately, we could not maintain this price indefinitely."

"Every little helps" and every customer "helped themselves to a little". Nice one! :thumbs
