so you would stay with jeep next time then daved ???
not found anything better yet. come on we know you like to try cars out. whats other cars do you like ???
freelander 04-06 had the best seats.
and reliability ???
what on earth would anyone want a landrover for
The engineers designed comfort into them because you would have to wait hours waiting for the AA or RAC to recover you on many occasions.:lol
my experiences of them are older but before we all swapped to diesel as a common battlefield fuel and all of that we had the petrol ones. particularly when it was very hot or very cold we used to have bets as to whether we could get them started up before the batteries ran out of juice
Mind you once you got them running everyone used to rush for the 1/4 ton lightweight
The arrival of the 90s and 110s with turbo diesels (was that around '85 ?? ) were a blessing you didnt have to sit in a cab that stank of petrol where youd had to fill it under the seats and they used to start on a morning
Wouldnt touch one as my main motor now.
So out of those youve listed Col, which was your fave?
He fitted a second battery under the passenger seat after that.
A 1966 one was before my time but did they not have an internal top filling lift the cushion fuel tank under there too
Not on that one, there was a lift the seat job, but there was a recess for a battery.
The middle seat was something else, under the seat, you could get to the prop shaft and see the road.
