Some of them have an alan type fitting on the end of the threaded section. Failing that mole grips???

By the way, your steering stop looks dry LOL

if its the bit in chasse just cut it wi an angle grinder.. it will drop out

the bit in arb will come off with mole grips and a socket will it not?

Tried the old mole grips earlier, i was under there doing other jobs so this one wasn't really priority.

It's the bit stuck in the arm rather than the bar that I'm more worried about removing as that will just spin

Ah i wasn't sure if it would or wouldn't come out like that or not, I'll give that a go, just need to remove it without damaging the polybush

weld something to it to stop the spinning it you have a welder...

Hmmm is there not enough room to get grinder on to the bit left in lower arm????

Hacksaw????

I got a nifty tool called a nut splitter, is there room to get at the nut or is it in a resess.

bit on lower arm has a nut under it i think.. lock molegrips on top halh so when i spins they snag and it spins no more and undo the nut...

Don't know how you going to remove it Zac, but I have one still in wrapper you can have and a cv boot kit, just pay postage and I will send if you want them.

the bit stuck in the arb has 2 flat edges on the washers looking bit on the snapped side from the look of the pic can't you get a spanner on it . because if the threaded end hasn't got a allen key hole in it then there has to be flat edges on it so you can hold it . otherwise the ball spins in the knuckle joint . and the bit with the poly bush on just grab it with mole grips

Ah Rich the man!!!!! How are you mate

I've already got all the bits to do the job matey :) Thanks though

Take it the Kenlowe went in the end? Sorry for dragging my feet I was short for cash at the time :doh

take the arb off and angle grind the stub out, the other bit will undo with the bolt and use mole grips on top to stop is spinning

:(

Don't mention the CV boot kit... Why would he want that?:augie
He might need a lower bump stop though...:lol:lol

Easiest method is drop the ARB off, cut the broken link with the grinder, whilst your at it replace the rubbers with Silicon and replace both ends with new drop links.

Alright Zac, Kenlowe went to another member in the end. I'm fine just looking in now and again, keep thinking of getting another swb but finances just wont really allow it at the minute. Have had 3 now and the first mk1 swb we had was by far the best, the other 2 lwb's didn't quite live up to that standard great fun but riddled with problems them two were!!
Rich..
