Well 53 plate 3.0 just passed test, something of a relief after last year when needed
£500 of welding to osr sill and around nsf suspension mount.

Got an advisory though that could be looking at same or double next year as think
osf suspension mount and under front foot wells might be too far gone..,

maybe time to start thinking about starting to think about what next.

1 go for restoration route on then 16+ year old truck, still goes well otherwise,

2 look for a replacement vehicle, then the fun begins of course, find latest cleanest
t2 I can, or a late patrol? always thought would be looking at pathfinders but not
sure if put off by their chassis issues, as per Navaras, or do I leave the fold? On
face of it needs 4x4 7 seat twin axle caravan tug. oh well time to think.

Well done on mot:thumbs

Try that bloke in Barnsley that I use to get welding done, he replaced rear halves of my sills inner and outer for £200 back in October which saved me a lot of hassle.

Another Year - good news in part.

At least you have a year to get it sorted, I had an advisory on our previous BMW when we bought it - a rear upper suspension bush with slight play in pin/push. The note was on the previous MoT and on the next two test when we owned it.

Asked the garage to fix it on it's last MoT and the firm said it was a difficult to access rear suspension part that had not got worse in the last 3 years so leave it until it's a fail!

Is there anything you can do to stop it moving from advisory to a fail next year or is it a safety issue ?

Sometimes it's better the devil you know.
As with any rot or corrosion get it sorted sooner rather than later or you will end up with a project like mine:eek:
