Got a replacement pump today and after looking at it have a quick question.. :augie

is anyone running their van without the fan?
Read something on here abit back but can't find it now.. :doh

i'm running mine without one, took it off when viscous coupling went and then never got around to replacing and putting fan back on

I replaced my waterpump last month and havent put the 'leccy ones back on yet OR the old whilygig one:D
No problems unless you plaster the rad in mud and bake it on and cant get it off cause it's like clay and today the pressure washer is frozen and the traffic was backed up for several country miles because of a ruddy caravan being towed by a 2cv and then it got a bit warm:doh

So I can throw the fan away then.. :D

For general use I guess so, BUT in warmer times in traffic or working hard with one of those tin tents on the back, then things will get warm.
I'd put an electric one on or put the original back on for piece of mind. You dont want to cook the lump:augie You just never know:thumbs

right now mine is fine but as soon as the weather warms up i'm gettin it sorted, not sure i'll be able to gt used to the noise it makes again tho lol
