Another pint

Just gave another pint of me good stuff, I have been donating for many years now and am still amazed how most times I don't feel the needle go in and then you get the odd one, where it stings like a bitch...like today.
I think I need to go and sit down on my man steps :lol

But it wouldn't make any difference over here as I am not allowed to give blood due to the fact that I am British! All Brirts were band from giving blood during the mad cow fiasco! and its still in force! :doh

Good man firebobby:thumb2. I work in my local hospital so can vouch for how much is needed. I have seen occasions where one patient can take more than the body normally holds with an internal bleed out.
I have given a few pints but not for some time so must get my butt into gear and start donating again.

I think that's the same as the USA.
Never mind mad cows, at least I know my blood is clean as it's screened every time I give.

I hate needles with a passion but couldn't give blood if I wanted to due to my meds:augie even when I kick the bucket my organs are no good to anyone:doh

I hate needles too, but I feel it's something I need to do as I have quite a rare blood group.
I used to give platelets for about a year and that was every 3 to 4 weeks, my arms were like pin cushions...don't know how druggies do it :lol

I don't give blood but mrs j has done 14 pints.
she says drink plenty of water don't drink beer.

I should dilute my blood meself but:nenau
they can just have whats left when im gone apart from me eyes.
im on the organ doner list.

Funny that... The French weren't so fussy about the British giving blood between 1939 & 1945!

They will not take mine since I had Hodgkin's Disease in 1987.

I gave blood up until 1980's now even though I am in full remission they will not let me donate again. A risk thing I guess.

Just find out where your local session and go, it takes about an hour out of your life, but could save a life, worth doing :thumbs
