Hi all,
I've just picked up my sheddy, metallic Blue '96N 3dr Terrano LX 3dr, you may have seen it, an eBay bargain with a dead starter motor, luckily I live on a hill!
Borrowed a mates Terrano a couple of months ago to tow a car trailer as my Discovery was out of action. I was impressed with it and thought if I needed a cheap 4x4 then they're heads and shoulders above Fronteras and the like.
Anyway, sold the Disco now to buy a recovery truck, but still wanted a cheap 4x4 for occasional towing, daily work and off road fun. Hence the Terrano, much underrated and cheap as chips for a tatty runner.
Past 4x4s include an '85 'Hearing Aid Beige' LWB High top Shogun, never ran right and was so horrible it was hilarious, a Wine red over Silver '98 Patrol 2.8TD6 which got 265/75 BFGs, chrome bars etc, and I got really carried away with the '98 Disco 3dr, it got 33" BFGs on 15x10s, 2" lift, arched, 04 spec headlights, tints, gaurds, mattblack etc.
I can't leave anything alone, only picked the Terrano up yesterday, already bought some 15x8 wellers with 235/75R15 Grabbers for it! Planning on replacing rotten wings, winding torsion bars up, LWB rear springs (does this work for a lift, or are they to stiff?), body lift, spotlights and maybe camo, or even urban camo paint (probably with a brush!), Then some bigger tyres again. Oh, first I'll have to do the starter motor tho! :lol
So I'll no doubbt be on here having a look at what you guys are upto and asking questions. First two; What do you think of the camo, or uban camo ideas? The cop out would be matt black, again! Anyone got any pics of Terranos camo'd up?
