I love my t2, just wanted to make it a road warrior (not the Mitsubishi type) :lol

And having a leaky clutch is just so very wrong

Should be able to get some tablets from doc for that :lol

Back on topic you seem to have the same symptoms that I had on my old tdi. Mine turned out to be injector pump.
First thing I would do is stop using veg, new filter and lines and check the swirl pot in the tank.

I'm sure things got better when Alex went back to diesel for a bit to sort out his leaking pump seals

I agree how can it be cheaper to run on chip oil just put esso diesel in and no problem :thumbs

The way forward to me is run the veg off and brim it with diesel. Put a new filter on and see how it goes then. :thumb2

I did pretty much eliminate veg oil for just over a week, it was sharper (as it would be) but still symptoms present. I have just plugged in and gotten two fault codes... :doh

Well my truck is virtually un modded, we were at a garage yesterday, and a guy came up to my wife and offered £5,000 for it.. (For the benefit of Alex... The truck mate not the wife)...:augie
I'm not sure if he was joking or not, but my wife bless her .. said.. he'll want more than that for it...:doh

The Maverick is too old to be valued on age, but should be valued on condition, unfortunately, any insurance company wouldn't see it that way.

How old does the car have to be to get "Classic" Insurance... 25 years...?:nenau

Just think what it could be worth if you had looked after it Rustic :augie;)

When my sons Mini hit 20 years old, the insurance company said it could be insured as a classic, but there were limitations which my son was not happy with...restricted millage sort of thing.

Yep.. I really regret not going over to Spain and waxoyling it on the ferry, on it's way, here rather than waiting for it to be registered first... :lol:lol

Mine is a 94 model, perhaps at 20 years old that is the reason the insurance went down this year.
Still pretty rust free too
If you want pics I will post pics:lol
