hi on turning ignition key all dash lights show but the engine light flashes, when it flashes it turns over but wont start:doh if i turn the key off an on, after several attempts the light stays on and it will start :clap can anyone suggest what could be causing this, also lately the alarm has been sounding for no apparent reason cheers Andrew

Check out the downloads section as theres instructions how to read the fault codes using nowt but a paper clip. Also try turning the key slowly as the switch sometimes goes and for some reason turning key slowly seems to make it work properly but not a fix so would need a new ignition switch if that was it. Defo try reading the fault codes tho.

thanks jim just went and tried what you said, it did`nt make any difference when turning key slowly,:nenau i read the code reading download, i then phoned my mate who`s more technically minded with electronics,:nenau he reacons he nows a mate who has a gizmo called a consat reader that works like a obd fault code reader for nissans.:clap since its free i said lets give it a go. as soon as i find/fix the fault i will post and let everyone know what it was. thanks again Andy:thumb2
