Hello Biro, just so happens that my bulb blew and I'm changing it now.

You have to remove the gear knob surround, you can leave the knobs on
that accesses 2 screws at the bottom of the fascia
remove the ashtray and you have 2 more screws
now you need to remove the radio, 2 pieces of rod that go into the holes on the radio and push, this allows the radio to pull forward, no need to unplug and you will see 2 more screws.
Now you need a flat blade, I used a scraper to prize the fascia away from the dash and you will be able to see the back of the heater control.
the bulbs are white funny long things that cost £7 each:eek:.
Hope this helps:thumb2

No problem Biro, You will find plenty of good advise at this club, I have and saved a packet as well.
By the way, to remove the gear stick surround, if yours have the silver or wood finish, you use a wide blade/scraper or screw driver and prise the silver or wood surround up.
As all ways, take your time and if you get stuck, just ask:thumb2

No they won't, I tried 3 factors around here and all said main dealer, ebay don't sell them either, they are not your average bulb, approx 40mm long, it's like a bulb in a stilt.
Just finished mine and back together now.

I have a question to all owners who have the later dashboard, the one with the 3 dials for the heater Fan, Temp and direction and the 3 buttons in between them for the A/C, heated screen and recirculation.
My question is, do the 3 buttons light up with the dashboard lights or not,on my car they don't but I'm sure my old T2 did:confused:

Thanks for that Biro.
Oh bugger!, so where would they light up from then, when I went to the dealers, they said there are only 2 bulbs behind that panel and both of my ones now work, I will check tonight when it's dark but I'm sure they weren't lit up earlier:confused:

Sorry Firebobby, this old geezer has dropped a clanger, the switches only light up when you press them to "on" so they are not lit up normally, (told you i am a learner) ouch!

Hi Firebobby its me again, my son in law has a late Terrano like mine and says that the 3 switches on his do light up! so it looks as if we both have a problem with bulbs! mine light up when i push the switch in a green light comes on, trouble is the son in law is not mechanically minded so cannot help me as to where the bulbs are located.

Hi Biro, I'm sure on my 2001 T2 they lit up, but when I checked with the dealers, they showed me a diagram of the fascia and it shows only 2 bulbs there so not sure if the later ones had it.
Does the space/pocket in front of your gear stick light up, the one under the ash tray, mine don't but in my old T2 it did:confused:

Hello Firebobby, the space - pocket dont light up on mine, i have a esm of this vehicle if you would like a copy let me know, i would need your email to send it, from looking at the wiring diagram it looks like only 3 bulbs on the air con panel, i would think the switches have built in bulbs ? suppose new ones will cost a weeks pension, btw this is the first time i have used any message boards like this so i hope all is ok??
Tom.
