Had a day out laning around Buxton area on Saturday which was quite eventful.
First lane we attempted was blocked by a fallen tree.
No problem we thought, will just winch it out of the way.
Wrong!!!!the bee's that had took up residence in it had other ideas so after taking a few hits for the team we backed out and left it well alone.

All was going well until we came across this :lol:lol

Glossop's finest had managed to bog the mog.
Offered to help but their pride and egos wouldn't let them accept so we drove round them and carried on our way :thumb2

Nice one, I would have loved to have winched that fire wagon out, but a bit of kit would have been needed, not sure if all you guys together would have had enough, Rick

Would never have winched it but just offered to help dig out around the back end so they had more of chance to back it out.
Would have thought with air lockers on it and three wheels on solid ground it would have flew out :nenau
I think it was more a case of them being somewhere they shouldn't have been.
Turns out a guy I know's brother in law was one of the crew :lol
He's in for some stick no doubt :naughty

A great day had then. I bet they were well sheepish when you all turned up. And then out came the cameras :lol

Was a great day out, this was just me and a friend doing a recce of some of the lanes in that area as we haven't been up that way for about a year.
Also noticed that trailwise was in need of updating to let others know of the state of play in the area.
Funny they did seem to spend most of the time around the rear of the mog out of sight :lol

I the 70's that was my job, recovering trucks usually from muddy building sites, never had one on hardish ground like that, had a 6 wheel drive 13 ton recovery truck with a 20 ton boughton winch, great fun and got paid for it, Rick
