Tis leaking a lot no...
Tis leaking a lot YES!...
Are you sure it is brake fluid:nenau
I had a similar leak, BUT it was the wheel bearing and the seal as it was gear oil.
I wished it was the cylinder... price wise...
Come to think of it brake fluid wouldn't sit like that would it.. :doh
Borrocks im gonna have to check..
we know it is brake fluid Alex but just to put your mind a rest spray it with water, if it washes off brake fluid, if it does not axle seal, cylinders and shoes in tomorrow,Rick
Just check the reservoir, if it's low then you will know for sure...and remember to top it up before you go for a drive or it could get very interesting
adrenaline is brown , sticky and smelly :augie:lol
Not wise to drive it like that, if you have a RTI you could get a healthy fine for knowingly driving a motor vehicle with faulty brakes Don't do it, could finish up in nick
Can someone snap me a picture of reservoir please?
Can someone snap me a picture of reservoir please?
And I presume dot4?
It's the big yellow cap in the middle of the picture.
Ignore the red ringed bit, I took the picture for someone else some time ago.
The problem is, you really need to know how much was in there to start with, but the good news is, there is a warning light for when the fluid does drop below a certain point.
Do the test Rick said, and see if it washes off, and if it is Brake fluid, make sure you carry some with you on the way down to Ricks, and as soon as the Brake warning light comes on, stop and top it back up.
