I could have done it a lot worse than that :D

My T2 sills were rusting, only surface though, so i did them inblack , painted over the body colour. Looked crap.

i now have a new hate,,,,,,,,,,,,FIBERGLASS RESIN........it sticks to fookin everything

Had the same issue myself, in exactly the same spot!

If you have not already done so...
You might want to consider removing the plastic door step, that should reveal 3 good size holes that you can pour/inject your favorite water repellent into the sill to slow down the dreaded tin worm....

Looks like new !Grand job.Fibreglass tip.Good old washing powder cleans resin off hands, brushes etc without much fuss. Not sure if it still works but I used Omo and then Surf for many years with good results.Worth a try.:thumbs

AT THE RISK OF BEING SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES????

Are the sills in that spot within 300mm of a body mounting and as such are structural and a safety point? is that not why they fail MOT's for this bit of rust?

Don't want to scare anyone but I couldn't live with myself if I had not had mine plated and welded inner and outer and some one like family was hurt or worse because I hadn't paid out for welding.

A neat job though and sorry if I've caused upset.
