Of course if nothings damaged its a matter of applying power to the circuits and see if they work, listen for the beep or look for the light.
As for the bulbs, the finer points I cant remember (thats why I'd get a "trained expert" ie someone who's done the course in to look) but essentialy ................
If the bulbs are bust you can tell pretty much by the filament ,whether its broken or not, what happened.
If the filaments burnt out it was probably powered up when the bulb broke (ie point of impact). Thats because the gas inside the bulb prevents it burning out, glass broken, filament overheats and burns out to a greater degree than a normal blown bulb failing (you can actually see it).
If it wasnt powered up it'll just be broken and not burnt out.
Theres loads more detail I am told and of course counter argument but theyre the basics as demonstrated and explained to me. More to the point it was accepted in court :naughty
Dont ask me about LED "bulbs"...........theyre too modern :augie
