Airbags help I'm struggling

Hi iv just got a 55 plate lwb 2.7.
The airbag light is flashing.
The previous owner said he thought it was to do with the wiring under the passenger seat. Iv got the airbag recall coming up.

However I did the key on off diagnostic check from the downloads section and I got the airbag light flashing what looked like a 1 then a 3, code 13???
What does code 13 mean???

13 is engine coolant temperature sensor, nothing to do with air bags, in my experience if you cannot sort it with the various methods in the downloads then a visit to a local garage with the right computer kit is needed, Rick

Do the reset mate and drive around in it again, if it goes again then start to check the harnesses under the seats

If they all look good it could be a fault with the drivers steering wheel airbag or the passengers dash one (depending on year)

If you mess with the front ones for any reason please remember to disconnect the battery and leave for a little bit to avoid triggering the air bag
