Got my letter today too, say's it will only take up to 2 hours. Our nearest dealer is now 17 miles away, (local is now a KIA dealer) which is a pain. Do they have to provide alternative vehicles, I have not had this problem before so don't know how it works. Do you catch a bus to local shops or sit and wait

The Chrysler Dealers do a free C&D service, at MB Derby we do C&D within a radius of around 25 miles but it's not really free as you get an extra £20 discount if you bring it in !

Rather than you all tampering with possibly dangerous airbags why dont you just give Nissan your chassis number like I did, they can check for you on their system.

Easy pleasy, I booked in and demanded no health check no test and no wash, favorite job of the day I bet.

Donr forget all garages have to do health checks now as they get audited, unless requested.

If they wash my truck and do a health check without asking me first, that's their problem and won't be getting paid penny for it. It is going in for the air bag only:lol

On the recall letter I received the reg and chassis number was there so I'm guessing there's a cross over period where they've used more than one type. And one it's faulty.

Recalled, airbag failed the test, they had a matching part in stock, had it changed and we're both back home after surgery.
Big thanks Bolton Nissan.

Prompted by this threads latest post, I thought I'd do another check of the DVLA recall service website, link posted above by Fire-bobby, thanks!
Patrols from 04 to 07 are included for a passenger airbag fault!
This includes mine.:clap
This may be related to my winking airbag light to.:thumbs
Just thought I'd raise the flag for others.

but you have been to a Nissan shop and been plugged in, W T F, are they stupid, they should have at least cleared the light, and if they could not do that due to a fault, informed you of that or more realistically, identified the fault, Rick

Spot on Rick!
All that gear in the garage and they've obviously put a new guy on the job.
I was able to view progress from the waiting area after I arrived to pick the truck up, and concluded that nobody could really be too bothered at the time and the newbie seemed to be struggling to find the fault. The result was " computer says no".
I had left the truck with them all day.:(
Looking forward to going back now!

I may be getting there but not senile yet, Rick

How long did it take them and did they do any safety checks?
Any sign of these free valets? :augie

It took nearly 3 hours, they said they changed something under the dash but not sure what it was as my wife took the car over there. No other checks that I know of and no free valet.

Mine took a couple of hours, but they did replace the airbag. If it passes the test it should take a little less time. I had two options on the appointment too leave it for the day and they'd get it done sometime during the day or a timed slot for a couple of hours.
No valet but option of washing if wanted.

Got mine booked in today, for 5 weeks time.
Earliest they could do it, and on a Saturday morning to.:(

Had my airbag checked at the dealership today.
Patrol went in with continual flashing airbag light (as mentioned here before) i start the vehicle to come home, and its flashing code 22
(two slow flashes followed by two quick flashes).
When i questioned the guy about the airbag light flashing a code, he said it would have to be booked in at my cost of £114 to put it through the diagnostics even though he'd told me they had removed one airbag to check it! :nenau

Does anybody know what part of the system code 22 refers to?

Got to take mine in just keep forgetting about it:doh

Best of luck with that Sweety!
I was appalled at the service I had...
