Just had air con serviced No leaks. nice chap started to put gas into system he said it was struggling to pull gas in he did think compressor not working to well he worked hard to get gas in revving car

He managed to get it cold and a good amount of gas into system its only got 53,000 so not too much wear. I said maybe its never been done before because the area was covered by the nissan wax around screw cap low side, looking now to see if you can add oil in the low side to oil compressor. I know you can add leak stuff

its worked all day so think it needs running £35 for service keep you up dated we are on Holiday soon so felt we needed it to work just in case sun comes back :nenau

That’s not a bad price. Earlier this year I had my 3 litre vac’d out and gassed for £59.95.

Since then I’ve bot a bottle and filling tool with a gauge for £74 from a company in Doncaster with a £10 refund on bottle when I return in.

My son filled my t reg truck, not sure it’s working correctly maybe similar to yours. Turn it on and can hear clutch engage but blue light on switch doesn’t come on. Seems to cool the air down though even on a sunny day.

yeah this company in BD5 Bradford he was on facebook its a unit been in business 30 years is dads,,, he will do mobile but more expensive, I would say a very honest guy, smart, knowledgeable he had people waiting but did not rush he made sure he got gas into system. All went through books on a receipt.

he did think my compressor was playing up but like i said a lot off people do not have re gassed it was from wales area, my nissan juke had new engine in 2016 and gas gone we think bristol st motors never re gassed we did not check,

Thats a great price!

i only put ac on to run now and again to keep it ok,i prefer windows open.
back in the hot summer of 76 i drove 250ish miles with ac on but when we got out we melted so have not used since.

Manufacturers like Merc recommend the aircon is always left on even in winter to help prevent seal degradation. Yes its a couple of mpg sometimes but I always have ours on 90% of the time. Also I suspect the pulley clutch will wear if its always off.

My AC stays on as it helps keep condensation down on the windows and I just like the fresh air without the noise.
