Hi Again Rik, there's a recent thread regarding the AC. Someone posted about some DIY sealer stuff, equiv to radweld I think but for AC. Have a nosey and see if you can find it, might be of help.
The guy at Kwik Fit that regassed mine said that normally it's a seal on the compressor that goes.

Hi. I had similar problem 2 years ago. Turned out to be pinhole in ally pipe which runs along top of radiator. It had chaffed through on a sharp edge at corner of rad. Only spotted it because firm who did recharge included yellow dye. Only a tiny hole but at the pressures in the system it soon blew all the gas out. Estimate for new pipe from Nissan £67 + vat.
Had one made up at a/c centre for a fraction of that. Good luck.

ok thanks for the replys you 2 ... i will have a look jim at post cheers [ omg i love this site lol ]

regards rik

As jim says kwik fit check system,if not possible to fix no charge.

[need the wifes fur coat to keep warm now air con is freezing ] oh and kwik fit was only £45 to do the recharge not bad huh ..

Got mine done at KwikFit last summer before heading off to the Ardeche, worked well - too well sometimes, needed a little heat running to stay comfy, either that or Josh used to end up under a fleece blanket in the back - those tinted windows help too!

-banghead- -banghead- went to work today in t2 and air con not working again  ... back to kwik fit tomorrow [ sigh ]gotta be a leak somewhere in it ..... to think it was perfect yesterday ... all day as well .. ach well we will see if i will get refunded tomorrow from kwik fit ... unless hopefully they can fix it [ fingers crossed ]

Rotten luck :( Do you know if Kwik-Fit put any tracer dye in with the gas. :?: Should be able to find the leak if they did. Probably green or yellow. Shows up fairly well in daylight but I was told that some dyes need a U/V light to see them properly.

When I had mine checked at Kwik-Fit they said their system wil pick up leaks i.e. loss of pressure if pressure not being held, but if leak is so minor their system will not pick it up! I'm sure they don't use any dyes to check for leaks.

nah they dont use any dyes ... but i found a garage not far from me that do .. t2 is booked in tomorrow .. hopefully they will find where the leak is ... at least kwik fit is going to refund my money back

update on my air con .. went to get money back from kwik fit ... they asked me of i wanted them to try again as they may think not all pipes etc got filled completely ... at the moment it is working perfectly .. but if it stops again i have just to go back and get refunded [ anything is worth a try lol ] keep u all informed
