07 Nissan Pathfinder Trek.

My Pathfinder's air con has not worked for a year.

If I get it re-gassed how do I check for leaks?

Does anoyone know if it is piped to the rear on this model. I gather there is a problem with the rear pipes corroding and that they run through the chassis.

When you get it re-gassed ask them to put leak-finding dye in at the same time & Fannys your auntie LOL.

you dont check for leaks, the garage check for leaks before they re gas with a pressure test and if the system passes they will re gas and test it works

Not at the shop I have used but I'll ask. How much for a pressure test and regass typically?

they should check it because the refridgerants cannot be released into the atmosphere it would be extremely bad practice if not illegal to charge a air con system knowing its got a leak, kwik fit charged £40 last time I had mine done but only if its successfull, I dont think they charge if they find a leak
