I had the car gassed a couple of weeks ago. They said it had no leaks so proceeded to fill it.
2 weeks later it had stopped working. I took it back and they said they would look for a leak - so they gassed it again and added a dye and sent me on my way :doh

Last night I thought I would try and find the leak myself. I saw some green oily stuff on one of the pipes - bingo :clap

This is the thin pipe that runs across the top of the condensor is about 2 feet long and connects on the left into the dryer cylinder.
The irony is that the pipe is leaking where it is covered by a 2" piece of pipe to stop it rubbing on the other pipe. I think corrosion has been trapped inside it.

Where can i obtain a new one, a second hand one or get it repaired?

Thanks

DaveD did it when he was a member on here. Seems a weak point under that clamp.

If anyone still in touch with Dave they may be able to get the info from him.

I got one on mine as took air con rad off as do not want it, but pipe is same as yours, corroded, my advice,, take it off and pop into a welders/fabricators that do Ali, and get them to cut it at the corroded point and sleeve it with new pipe and weld it up, any Ali welder worth his salt will do it in no time as long as he has some right sized pipe available, Rick
