Hi all, can anyone advise me on how i adjust the drive belt that runs on the air con pump?
It seems a little on the slack side.
I had a quick look expecting it to be similar to an alternator or power steering pump, but there seems to be tow bolts on the top which looks like it would make it swivel but then two bolts underneath that dont look like they allow any adjustment....

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

it has an adjustable pulley, loosen the centre nut and then wind the adjusting on on the end, Rick

i have just had a look at the manual and it seems the pulley is self adjusting....maybe i will replace the belt and make sure the adjuster is working okay...

just cut the belt off aircon is for girls, men open the window :lol

I have to say I have petrol motors apart from the off roader which is a TDi but no air con but the mount position is the same, so assumed the pulley was the same, so looks like I am wrong, but need to ask does the AC compressor clutch operate, Rick
