Any of you guys ever used after market warranty :?: Thinking of getting a policy from warranty direct. Advice, oppion & experience in dealing with a company of this type would be very much appreciated.

I sourced one through olympic. Three months into owning the T2 the engine blew itself to bits for no obvious reason. Everything had seemed fine, temp gage worked, oil pump worked, cooling system was A1.
They refused to pay out, leaving me with a £3500 bill

a lot are not worth the paper they are written on
firstly how much is it?
and what does it cover or more importantly what DOESN'T it cover?

They tell me it will cover all mechanical items, engine, clutch, brakes, gear box, four wheel drive unit & system, rear axle, propshaft, suspension, full braking system, cooling system, steering, fuel system, electronic ignition,
air con, electrics, casing & bodywork. Also cover problems found during mot or service. EXCLUDES were & tear items.

They have an annual limit, is there a limit per claim as well?
Secondly some of these warranty companies have a limit on the labour rate they will pay. E.g. Nissan may charge £60 per hour for labour, the warranty may only cover £30 per hour so you have to pick up the difference.
