Currently have a Surf and X trail as daily drivers. Surf is lifted etc and i use to take the dogs out, however the drop down tailgate is a pain. Browsing the ads I cam across Terrano's and especially the R3m4. Know nothing about them so guys.................. what the story ? good, bad ?

Before i delve deep into the depths of your site, are these or "normal" Terrano's easy to lift for bigger wheels etc ?

Cheers.

Hi and welcome. That’s the earlier imported vehicle I believe so I don’t know a great deal about them but I know others on here do have experience of them.

I can tell you if it’s the 2.7 diesel it’s a bullet proof engine. If they’re anything like the Terrano 11 then they’ll be a great car but sadly the tin worm can cause problems but not incurable just cost and time.

Thanks for reply.

Not sure if i can live with some of the gerish interiors on some, lol. Anything besides rot to look out for ? Most common place for rot ?
:thumb2

Welcome mate, on the T2 rot is normal on the sills and rear seat belt wheel arch mount, also front rad/body mount x member and front wing supports, Rick

Welcome matey, the r3m4 is a bit of an acquired taste in my opinion.

Get yourself a Terrano R20 :naughty

Says engine is 2.6 ? is there on or misprint ?
Thanks for replies.

Not sure where you vehicle was first registered but it is probably an import.

When registering these vehicles in the UK the DVLA work off the details that have been entered on the V5/5 often from original documents in Japanese or other Cyrillic type scripts .

The V5/5 details are only as detailed as the original entry by the person who registered the used vehicle.Often these details are entered as a best guess or incorrectly.

My old Nissan Terrano r3mR was shown on the V5 as a 2663 cc engine yet the plate on the chassis recorded it as 2264 cc.
Likewise they will not show full type EEC approval specifications and are just recorded as a Nissan 4x4 with no detailed model details.

So basically we do not know what you have got, so take some pics and post em up here so we can work it out, Rick
