advice needed terrano 2 lwb

just found the source of my clunk when i turn off the engine, it seems to be the cross bar behind the front bumper which acts as a mount for the radiator etc, has anyone had any experiance of this rotting away and what did you do to fix, and does anyone know if it is an mot fail :bow

its definatley a mot fail.
i cut mine out and replaced it with a 50x50 box section with 2 lugs on to pick up the rad mounts.
handy if you can weld or know some one as the garage wanted a small fortune for the repair.

I had to replace mine last year, but that's cause I er bent it:augie

Just cut a good one off a truck up the scrappy and grafted that on:thumbs
