Morning all. So I thought an ace cafe could be really good fun.

Question is whats the best day and time for it?

I've been down on a Good Friday night and it's like something out of a movie, hundreds of people stacked on the pavements, smoke 1m infront of you and scooters whizzing by.

At the same time I have visited when it's very quiet too :nenau

If we go on a Saturday or Sunday we run the risk of being in a specific vehicle rally (not a problem if we want to park under the bridge or something)

Whats people's opinions? C'mon, who's up for it? :thumb2

Would this be the ace cafe in Kent if so I'm up for that

No, It's the one and only ACE CAFE, on the north circular, just off the A40.

Alex, they have quite few specific vehicle evenings, don't know if they have a Jap or Nissan evening though.

If not, we could just meet up there.

That's one place i would love to go to but 180 miles is a bit too far :(

That's a shame, bit like us coming to the Yorkshire meet, I suppose.

They do have an:

"Open House" - No Specific Meet 6pm
Start Time: 06:00 PM
End Time: 11:00 PM
on the 5th August and the 2nd September, these maybe a good time to meet :nenau.

I am up for it, will take me back to my youth:eek:, got my bike license in 55 lived near Houslow A4

I lived in Acton at the time riding a 650 Thunderbird, this was in the early 60s and I remember a police car being rolled over by some of the more unruly lot, jaggeds on the knees described those that had touch knees to the ground on the roundabout just up the road, not me tho as side steps would have hit first, kicking you off, fun memories, Rick

It depends what you guys want. A Friday night in nice weather can be a great scene at ace, loads of stunts, tyre smoke and the likes, or alternatively a week day evening would be nice and quiet and we would be able to sit down.

Alternatively I know a lovely pub grub place fairly close and if anyones up for that they do the "burger challenge" :naughty

A mere burger challenge you say :nenau

2 kilos of meat alone!!! That's 4 pounds to you old skool lot!!

Oh and the best bit, it's a tenner :naughty

Your picture goes on the wall of fame if you can eat it!

Ace cafe

The ace cafe is brill, and i highly recommend the breakfast, but do not eat for 24 hours before! LOL. I used to travel 150 miles with my bike buddy's and it was worth the effort.

if you have never been make the effort, the atmosphere is brill.
