Every time I let the Mrs borrow the terrano it comes back with a fault. This time she has made the ABS light come on. Just want to know is there a common problem with the abs or where to start looking.
Cheers in advance. ....

Ok..... just nipped to the shops and the light was on but on the way back it was off. Could it be a dirty sensor/ bad connection and is the Mrs still to blame?

Most of the time this fault is fatigue on the wire fairly close to the sensor, so, in its early stages it will probably be intermittent.

mine does this from time to time, i just make sure my hand is on the steering wheel where it covers the light up, problem solved :lol :lol :lol

have you fixed it as mine has started to come on . its not good when your going down a hill and it comes on and then the brakes don't work that well and it makes this weird noise and judders

Blame the wife they use the brakes more than blokes!!

Most common fault is the n/s front sensor wire.
Simple ,cheap fix.
Cut off the plug and cut the wires off of the sensor as close as possible but leave enough to solder some new wire on.do the same with the plug end.
Solder the new piece of wire on to the sensor then cover it with some heat shrink insulation.do the same on the plug end.dont forget to feed the wire through the protective sleeve before you put the plug on.
If this don't sort it it will be a knackered sensor which are a bitch to get off.
