Hi, is there any way you can make the ABS light on the dash stop coming on. i am well aware that it is a warning light, but can honestly say that the braking of the vehicle is excellent (light permanently on) however when the rare occasion that the light is off it brakes like an out of control train. Am aware of the sensor problem on the front wheels that has been posted on a fair bit, but as it brakes fine without ABS, could i just not pull a fuse or something to take out the ABS?
Thanks

abs fix

it will brake fine as its in fail safe mode(no anti lock so it will lock up and slide if you have to brake heavy)but it's an mot failure if the abs system isnt working.pulling the bulb won't cure it.just imagine driving along at 50,the abs light is off so you think its fine, you need to brake sharp and if its anything like mine was when the abs was acting up the brakes just did not work.a wall at work stopped me one morning, only doing about 15 mph so was quite lucky really.its a low cost repair, about a tenner for the bits needed.if you dont have the confidence to do it get a mate to do it.theres always help on here if you get stuck. :!: :!:

You have to ask yourself a couple of simple questions.

How much will it cost to repair properly or replace the car?

How much is your family worth?

Sorry to sound so blunt and in no way am I trying to cause offence but it's not just you to think of. Also it may not just be your car.

hi chaps, absolutely no offence taken, i always take on board whats being said, especially from regular guys like yourselves. as you can probably tell not overly confident in doing this repair myself, but will get a mate to take it on for me.
Thanks

Think your a bit far away but I would have been happy to solder the wires on the sensor for you.
If your not happy with soldering the wires yourself then have you tried breakers yards for the sensors.
