Just bought the above today for £15. Didn't expect too much but it dosen't work with the Terrano at all!. The display does not even light-up. It does work with my 2003 Astra though. I get the impression there is no live feed.
It claims to be suitable for cars from 1996 on-wards. Any comments appreciated before I take it back.

I’ve read it somewhere that hardly any seem compatible with Terranos. Earlier Terranos weren’t ODB compliant too I believe. I’ve never played with code readers so I’m not an expert.

That's interesting, I was under the impression that Terranos were compliant (don't know where I got that from LOL). I thought it might be faulty but at least it works with my Astra so I'll keep it anyway.
Thanks Jims-Terrano.

It seems to depend on the year/model...

I believe there are 3 variants, the early 14 pin connector which you can use the consort software, then the later 16 pin connector, but it seems that the first versions of the 16pin connector used the 14pin connector connections so you still need consort software and a converter. The later 16 pin connectors are then ODBII

have a read of this post http://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showpost.php?p=291979&postcount=104

My 1999 T2 I can only use "ECU Talk" on the 14pin connector, and an adaptor that converts the 14 pin plug to USB, so I can connect it to my laptop, but on Suz's 2001 T2 with a 16 pin connector, I have an ODBII bluetooth module that plugs into her connector, and can use an ODB bit of software on my tablet (I will have a look later at what that software is called, as I don't have my tablet with me at the moment).

Thanks for that Lazy-Ferret.
Thought it was too good to be true. 'Best laid plans' & all that LOL.
