as above but......

with a TRANSMITTER it is very easy to determine precise location , however with a RECIEVER it isn't so easy ,but basically what rustic says with regards to the IF , also quite easy to pick up the magnetic field from a line output transformer

with the old analogue tv sets it was quite easy to detect a set being used , slightly more difficult with a digital tv , but still very possible ,
the question is do they have the technology and resources to do it ? ......

I leave that for you to decide :augie

I was hoping to not pay anything being that I am a cardi :lol

Will they stop the BBC telling me what to do and think?

depends if you have fillings in ya teeth or any metal implants not

Please dont take offence but you are the exact type of person that th government love to prey on. You will do exactly as they ask.
As for tax dodging... I work in the care sector which are involves caring for the elderly on end of life care on 12 hour shifts for minimum wage because the government says its a vocation rather than a career and people just accept this. So after work I have to fix a couple of cars on the side to make ends meet and feed my kids because im not eligible for the government benefits. .
Also I pay my water rates because I believe I should. I'm paying for a service. The water company is collecting contaminated water, , cleaning it and pumping it to my house. This is worth paying for.

My point is why should I be bullied into paying out for something that is not really necessary or needed. The government are just big time gangsters at the end of the day and will continue to prey on the sheeple.

It's about time the people made a stand

this will make you laugh our household pays £1286  a year for the tv license and sky t.v calls and internet . how much of that do you really think they need to do all of it .?

and 6 months road tax of that is for the tv license, its funny i don't remember taking a test to be allowed to watch the tv, that being said i also think, if likemany other people you pay for sky tv, cable tv etc. then you are already paying and should be exempt from the license, i have none, not even an aerial connected on the roof, i stream everything off the net or watch dvd's, this means i dont need a license as i don't watch live t.v and tbh even if i did i doubt i would pay for it being as there is nothing but shite on it anyway, my way i get to watch what i want when i want

Just sat reading this when up pops an advert for TV licencing

more spy advertising based on what you read on the internet

No, this was on the TV.

A mate has never payed a TV licence in 30 odd years, he says he never gives his address when he buys a new set, he gives his parents address as they do pay and are on the list.

in that case they're watching you :lol

This all sounds fine but we have tv in front room of the house so all the tv man would have to do is look through the window and catch us watching tv:doh

Also forgot to mention. There is no such thing as a tv detector van and never has been. This is just another scare tactic by your wonderful government.
Do you know anyone who has ever seen one or worked in one.

i have seen it as i have always lived in and around council estates were money is short or none existant..

tv van wont go in areas were people can afford to wipe there arse on fivers as these people can and more often than not afford to pay the bills

lets bring this down to simple money and profit

this is an estimate of course but if every person in the uk paid for a tv license it comes to £9135000000

now how big does my £145 not being there seem? at the end of the day the bbc is a profit making business and instead of making a profit with advertising etc. they had a law passed to force everyone to pay for it, and even if i did watch live broadcasts i would still refuse to pay if for personal reasons that i wont get into right now, for someone to say they are subsidising me for not having a tv license is ridiculous, and as for detector vans, yes they exist BUT only about 10 vans in the whole country and most of them don't turn on the equipment inside the van because they don't know how it works and even then it works on theory,

if there are only 10 vans im sure enough people would have been trained to work the gubbings inside

We pay ours too, it's great value for money :augie

I'm only here for about 18 weeks a year and I don't even watch the bluddy telly!
