Whats the world coming to eh, one of the techs at work got his car hit at ace cafe a little while back, so the insurance comp have provided him with a ford fiesta i think? (Some little Chinese engined hatchback)

I was shocked to find it was a 1l turbo engine

And pokey at that!! Certainly quicker than a terrano...

A tug of war game might end differently though :naughty

Ford do a 3 cylinder 1.0 litre turbo fitted into focus and others. VAG have a 1.2 turbo too and I'm sure there will be others.

modern engines are great I think, I love the old engines, but find it hard to knock a 1 litre turbo engine that can give 60mpg and 90+ bhp (ECOBoost range of engines). Amazing really, but that's the result of emission legislation etc

Daihatsu were making 1.0 turbo engines 30 years ago anyone remember the charade gtti

I can & they were very fast little motors back in the day & were faster than the Escort RS Turbo to 60MPH:lol My brother has just bought one of the new Fiesta 1L turbo's (with auto box) as it was faster than the 1.6L version:lol:lol:lol the big plus for him is the emissions are that low it's free road tax:eek:
