Just noticed on pic 2 the exhaust looks very close to the filler neck for the fuel tank (or thats what I think it is) are you fitting a heat shield ?

not needed, you can open up a derv tank and gas weld it up again with it containing derv no problem and on that filler up-stand it will be dry any way, Rick

I know that but thought over time the bottom rubber looking hose could melt & you could loose your fuel whilst having fun or with my luck just when I needed it :lol

Rubber hose? your eyes are better than mine, I could only just make out the fill pipe, now I know I am getting old, Rick

the filler neck should be fines its my poor mans deisel heater :D its just like rick says diesel is 100 times more forgiving then petrol and as for the filler neck the rubber hose should be ok as its further away then most exhaust rubber so should be fine and as for the travel I could get some deeper dish rims or cut the inner arches I could gain upto about another 3 inch drop but im thinking im just gunna leave it as it is go much further and you start binding uj's in the propshafts or should I make it go further im not sure what to do yet?

Put it to the test first, see how she's does and improve as needed, she looks very capable

Get some decent offset wheels on there and increase your lateral stability while you're at it.
As for the uj binding :augie a simple tweak of pinion angle would fix that. Extend the top arms a bit or modify the chassis mount . You'llprobably only need 10/15mm :thumbs
What shocks are you using by the way?

been trying to find some decent offset rims for the right money but no luck so far the shockers, i dont know what there off of i just bought them on ebay, they were second hand but new if you know what i mean, they came in the original boxes all i know is there pro comp and they measure 29" between eyelets ive also moved my top shocker mounts further inwards, i was gunna message you anyway are you still making heavy duty steering arms and if so do you make them what bolt straight on and how much would they be? cheers
