So today whilst on Holiday I committed the cardinal sin of going Green Laning on my own :doh

I managed checked to see if they were drivable at the camp site before setting off on my Toughbook using the Dorset County Council website and the two I tackled were open

First one I tried was gorgeous
OS Explorer 25k Map 116 Lyme Regis and Bridport
Start - SY 41855 94125 (British Grid)
End - SY 40640 94935

Easy to start with gravel track then passing a track that veers to the left for horses and bobbleheads and straight on for All Traffi, after a MAMMOTH steep hill you are then submerged smack bang through the middle of a 4ft high wheat field!!!!!

The next one I tried was ridiculous!!!!!!!
Hell Lane - OS Explorer 25k Map 116 Lyme Regis and Bridport
Start - SY 42435 93828
End - SY 44448 93595

I walked this one on foot at first as I'd read in the comments of a laning forum on the net for Dorset based laners that a few guys had tried to get up this a few weeks ago in highly modded Defender 90's and had to winch up it twice in parts

I see what they meant!!!! Half way up I found a Defender mud flap and a Defender wheel with Tyre in a ditch, further up I found the wing from a Vitara :lol

I like a challenge and wanted to test the LOKKA out but only managed to get as far as SY43000 93983 :doh I'd have gone at it no sweat if there were other there to pull me out but the mud was unforgiving and I would have sank in it like nobodies business!!!!

Need to go back there with buddies *hint hint* also another lane that goes straight through the middle of it that I'm sure you'll have already seen on the map if you've pulled up the co ords

This was the start of the BOG they call Hells Lane, so wish I had someone with me I'd have loved to have had a crack at it!!!

My territory where is this near as don't recognise it

Ignor that just read it properly. Might have to venture there one weekend

that kind of stuff is all about tyres, most road going will not cut it, even Alex might struggle in there, now my mav will be quite at home, Rick

Speed and power :lol
Mud tyres and good momentum. I don't mean just gun it and hope for the best.
Too much power in the wrong gear and you start spinning the wheels and lose forward movement.

There's no way I'd have had a crack at it on my own!!!!!!

Some seriously good lanes round here though :clap
