Filling ATF on Mistral

When I had my 1995 Mistral, you topped up the Automatic Transmission Fluid down the tube holding the dipstick (rear of engine on driver's side) . Easiest way is to use a piece of plastic tube down the dipstick pipe with a small funnel in the end of the plastic tube.

That sounds weird??? Did you have two dipsticks then? I've never heard of an autobox having a dipstick, and what you describe is the exact position of the engine dipstick, not the gearbox.........:confused::confused:

The T2 autobox has a drain and a filler bolt in the gearbox casing, the latter you have to fill with a squeezy bottle and flexible tube....observing the same routine as when you do the LSD, i.e. make sure you can get the filler bolt out BEFORE you remove the drain bolt, or you end up with no oil at all....(Terra always likes to do that one, thought I'd sneak in before him this time :clap:lol)

autobox

Mine also has a dipstick for autobox---it's a bit hidden away but it's there.:thumbs
