51 reg terrano se+ mileometer etc not alway showing

hi the digital section of my dashboard does not always show but then comes on when i have driven for about 6 miles. i have heard that there is an easy fix for the problem but all my local nissan dealer would offer me was a new dash at £stupid. does any one know what the "easy fix" is and is it easy?. thanks neil

Hi lofty1967,
My T2 has done the same since i got it,but it doesn't change with mileage it seems to change every day and even every minute,mines looks as though something is pressing on the lcd screen.
Never really bothered about it!!not heard of any quick fix for it!! :roll:

Mine started doing the same thig shortly after I bought it. A good belt to the top of the dash seemed to cure it until the nect time. Eventually I had it replaced under the used car warranty which I bought with the car.

The New one does somthing similar as well, but only betweenn turning the ignition key from off to aux, as soon I start the car it rectifys itself. Has been doing it from about 6 months since the replacement.

Looks like a common fault, Not heard of anyquick fix, other than a new console module £300+
