another point , if you expect to have neck braking acceleration ...... WRONG ,the nissan auto gearbox ( well mine anyway ) responds far better by keeping the revs lower , these arent the most fuel effective vehicles , but they are extremely reliable ( if you service them regularly )

my old r3m was like that if you treated it gently it seemed to build up speed faster than hitting the power,which seemed to boost revs but not the speed to match!

Are you kidding???? Thats awful...

350/80 = 4.375 miles/litre

x 4.524 = 19.87 miles/gallon.

You should be getting 23-25mpg in mixed driving with an auto.....stick a K&N 57i on - that'll give you an extra 2-3mpg immediately.

Have removed third row of seats (seldom used lately ) and sorted tyre pressures out. Seems to be doing some good. Reduced weight and rolling friction have got me slightly up above 400 miles/fillup. Shall be looking closely at a K&N filter. Bit expensive though. Have noticed some cheap replicas on ebay :augie Any opinions anyone ?
