found a supplier that can do 4 x 3 inch flanges for £30 delivered albeit in mild steel, but at 10 mm thick not going to worry about life, Rick

Got my flanges today, I have plate and a small amount of Oxygen/acetylene or loads propane so could of made my own but I am loath to waste what little Oxy I have on cutting when it is much more useful for the odd brazing jobs, so now have all I need to start work, looks like a busy week end coming up, Rick

OK job started, only a couple of hours today, rusty bolts etc took time, this pic is all that is left of the original system, bottom stud was virtually none existent so cut it off drilled and threaded it, easy access

Old and new for comparison, I did start it up and give it a few revs and have to say how surprised I was at the lack of bark, more tomorrow, Rick

That's surprising about the lack of noise.

Do you remember mine at the Wiltshire meet when it still had the 2.8 in. It was pretty loud and whistled loud too at low rpm.

It will be good, trust me

Sorry my memory is not that good, Rick

3rd bend and joint, 3rd bend only loose in flange to allow for aligning once the 4th bend is on, all bits just tacked for now till I make sure all clearances are good, should finish it all up tomorrow, Rick
