Got me some 670mm RC n2.0 shocks fitted to the rear

Jacked the body up to see what the drop was like and both my rear dislocation cones/spacers fell out and springs :D

So I'm half way through fixing the cones to the upper spring mounts. Done the drivers side but tbh it is a bastard to get ur hand on top to put a nut on ! Will do other side in morning

These shocks are pressurised and it sits an inch higher at rear so its 3" lift on back now  but I'm sure it will settle when shocks wear in, looks spot on now tho as my front was level with back but now back is 25mm higher

Will post pics of articulation tests tommoz after I get the other bastard dislocation cone fitted correctly, I reckon its gonna be proper twisty now tho :D

Will tie springs to bottom platforms with some welding rod or coat hanger to stop them coming off platform

You might have to reposition your handbrake cable mounts, Mine were a bit tight on 2" body lift and full articulation.

No problem, can't wait to see a few pics.

I used long jubilee clips to hold my rear springs to the axle.

Rough country part number is 20053

But like I say you'll need to mod landy dislocation cones and fix them to upper spring platforms

think I was able to get them around the spring cup at the bottom?

They measure about 668mm to be precise ... Longest Terrano figment I've seen so far was 640mm

sounds a fiddly job.
worth doin though. i look forward to seeing results and pics.

I did this to my truck when I fitted the dislocation cones as with 2"+ shocks they would fall out it is fiddly but u can just bout get ur hand up there:thumbs

Done :D and they are pretty decent tbf, rides like a caddy now, not harsh at all !

Some pics :

I kept the rubber damper for top so cable tied that to shock

Dislocation cup, cut down in width as per previous thread, and fixed to top of cup with some strips of an old chop saw blade I cut up with grinder :

How it sits now, 3" higher on rear due to extra inch from pressurised shocks :

Also, hbrake cable was still slack at full articulation, as was brake flexi and diff breather :)

Looking good.

How long are the body of the shocks compared to your old?

Do you think you can get more articulation?

Well the old ones center eye to eye were 600mm these are 668mm

The tyre hits the tub with about an inch of down travel left on shock

So i think you could put 700mm+ shocks on but you would need bump stops to stop shock bottoming out on full jounce/retraction or perhaps if u had 33" tyres the tyre would contact tub before shock bottomed out

But any longer and hbrake cables brake flexi and certainly diff breather would need lengthening, the latter of which is like a bow string allready on full droop :D

It's all bit of a balancing act . As if the tyre is on the tub or inner arch then you'll need a bump stop to save that or diff offset wheels can fix it, depending on where the contact is.
If the shock is bottomed out I'd be impressed. It's the droop at the back you need the longer shocks for :D
You can move the shock mount to get the same effect :thumbs

Mine on 35s with 2" body lift and the shorter 640 shocks. ARB off and still room :thumbs

The tyre just kisses the inner tub here, so a 6mm spacer would be the final solution for my wheel offset.
