Hi everyone,

Have decided to put my terrano up for sale. I just don't have the time, money or energy to work on it unfortunately!

its a 52 plate 3.0 sve LWB. 128k miles, full 7 seat leather interior, towbar.

Electric mirrors, windows, sunroof. everything generally works.... sunroof can be sticky, aswell as windows going back up.

Body is in reasonable condition, bumpers have been 'used' but secure, one big dent been pushed out by me in rear quarter. few other car park dents more than anything else. Very little rust! just starting to need attention. I have paint to cover once rubbed down and sealed.

Main reason for selling is the running problem the jeep has, has been like this since I bought it 6 months ago. It is very smokey on start-up until it is warmed up. Once warmed up it will drive fine, but will only rev to around 2750RPM. It appears to be in limp mode.

When I bought it starter was broken & it had a hole in the sump, I have fixed these, repaired hole in exhaust, put new tyres on it (245s - different makes), tested all conn's to ECU/MAF/PUMP, etc. Believe this might be a simple fix. injectors? but just don't have the time to fix! :(

Although truck has these issues, I have been driving it with the purpose I bought it for, towing a large trailer... and although you have to plan hills a bit! it has managed to tow it without any problems. (~2800kg)
And doesn't use any oil/water!

Best to come and see it if it is of interest! Tax and Mot both run out at the end of the month. Looking for £800ono. Car is in Angus, Scotland.

Thanks

Marc

Will upload photos later on. Can email through to anyone interested.

if only that was my drive!

here's some more photos taken yesterday after another full load run and a wash!

Forgot to mention, truck had a service ~3000 miles ago (no sure if that matters with the running issues! 4 good tread tyres to see it on the road and through a mot. I always had the intention of putting ATs on it once fixed.

when trying to solve issue, ive changed fuel lines, fuel filter housing.
a spare filter housing & new shock to go with it. has back seat & parcel shelf.

if interested please give me a shout.

£600ono revised price in an attempt to get it to its new home before MOT & tax out!

Currently looking to sell this and Bmw 330ci Im using to be replaced with a friends x-trail im due to collect when this is away/ t/m out!

cheers

Why don't you spend a tiny bit of that n get it sorted, then you might keep it, or still, sell it for more :nenau

Not trying to stop people buying it, someone might know its a 2 minute fix, then your out of pocket 800 quid..

Maybe you can convince a local member to bring to meet...... I've seen a rather nice patrol in my local area that I know likes to go down for offroad days with you guys....... Trying not to mention names. Lol.

Bit far to drop off! Lol. Never say never though......

Just looked at the map it couldnt get much further shame if it was local wouldnt hesitate at that price surely somone up there must want it

Far as I know I'm the only one with Trol in the area that goes down offroading with these guys :augie...

Reckon "dirty" is probably a better general description of her though :lol :thumbs

Not going down again for a while unfortunately and although I have access to a 3.5ton flatbed I've not got my trailer license so unless I do it using the tractor I've got to have a "supervising driver" to keep it legal (L plates too :doh) which kinda rules out long journeys :(

Whereabouts are you by the way bud? Sure I recognise the area but can't for the life of me think where it is!

Trol has always looked good the few times I've seen it.

I stay in friockheim. Yeah, I did my license when I had a work l200. Hence the terrano. But don't really need something so big now. (Have had a push to get everything heavy done before its out of t&t!)

...I've not got my trailer license...

:eek::eek::eek:

Trailer licence ??

Didn't know you had to have one :augie I used to have an HGV licence but dumped that last year...

Then I checked on the Gov website...

"Licences held before 1 January 1997
If you passed your car test before 1 January 1997 you are generally entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer combination up to 8.25 tonnes MAM.

This is the weight of a vehicle or trailer including the maximum load that can be carried safely when it’s being used on the road.

You also have entitlement to drive a minibus with a trailer over 750kg MAM.
"

Phew :clap

Just us young folk that have to spend £500 to tow a trailer they can generally already tow 10x better than some older folk who already have the entitlement!! :-!

Yep, Bloody stupid if you ask me. People passing laws that won't effect themselves.

It's a bone of contention that with my normal licence I can tow a full to the brim 14 ton grain trailer with the tractor at 30mph+ (with air brakes) and have in the past towed two empty 14ton grain trailers in tandem (now that was a proper road train) but to tow anything bigger than our little single axle sheep trailer with the Trol I need to sit another test OR whack the L plates on and have a "supervisor" sitting next to me :doh

Cheers mate, shame about the issue you've been having. If you'd still like to get her running right it might be worth running it past the Aussies on the patrol.au and patrol4x4 forums as it's the same 3.0 as I have in my Trol.

If size is part of the issue have you thought about getting a swb?

Sounds like the CPC test, but don't think it will be needed if it's not your full time job
