Does anyone know whether the 3.0 engine has the mini filter in the injector pump.:nenau
 
Why, what's the problem ??

Started with really bad diesel knock traced it to air leaking from the fuel filter primer. I replaced it and it ran great for half a mile then I put my foot down and mil light back on worse than ever. If you set off from stopped takes about 2 or 3 seconds to set off. Even tried running it with straight feed bypassing filter makes no difference. Blue smoke out the back so thinking fuel any help would be much appreciated.:surrender:nenau
 
It could be air getting into the fuel line, check above the o/s/r wheel were the fuel lines run over the rear axle, if it wet, you may have rusted fuel lines.
My one had a spell of bad running, I changed the fuel filter and it ran sweet for a few days, then suddenly dropped off again, EML on and a big loss of power, I tried another fuel filter and it's been fine since.
 
Didn't Banshee have something like this. Turned out to be something actually imside the fuel tank.
 
Try running it with the fuel cap off
If it is better the vent is blocked
That sorted banshees

I have replaced fuel line front to back with rubber then replaced filter with genuine Nissan first port of call thanks for reply.

if your Mil light came on then read the code easy, Rick
Did paper clip read first off code was 77 that's what started me down fuel route any other ideas with this code?

normal 77 code is oxy sensor but you do not have that on your motor so next in line is crank position sensor or fuel pump timing, rayf is your best guy on this, Rick
 
Are the 3.0l IP's the same as the 2.7's :nenau
The 2.7 is easy enough to check buddy
 
Things are getting worse.:doh After fitting new fuel filter primer went for a run setting off it was like a new car quiet and smooth, then I put my foot down and boost gauge went round to 25 psi MIL light on limp mode and knocking its cods off again. I now have two more error messages 12 and 95 my manual shows MAF fault and turbo pressure fault.:eek::eek: I drained my catch can and drained about an inch or two of oil from it which is only from a month of running worried now I have something seriously wrong with the engine. Had a quick look at the turbo and I can move it so the vanes catch on side stopping it spinning not sure how much force it should take if any to make it catch? I just seem to be making things worse and now not sure where to start. I have always worked on my own vehicles but this one is starting to get the better of me.:banghead: mad:
