Hi, just got a few filters for my pre-winter service (well, first service I've done on the truck since I got it!) but have a query.

The current fuel filter has what looks like a drain plug which screws into the bottom of the filter (no sensor or wires etc, just a drain plug), however, the new filter I've been sent has no drain plug etc, just a straight screw back on filter.

Now, is this just a revised filter where no drain plug is seen to be required anymore or do I have the wrong filter?

It's ok, just had word back from suppliers, apparently the filter I've been sent is ok to use, must be a replacement with no drain!

Well just be careful because (1) how are you supposed to drain off any water that gets into the filter?, and (2) plenty of issues documented on here as a result of using dodgy aftermarket filters.....
