Have both done & got 2" body lift currently & not long done by themselves :thumbs

I did a 1" on the Frog & didn't worry about the bumpers

When doing the lift you MUST do 1 side at a time or you will spend hours trying to jiggle ya body back on straight :doh
If any snap there easy to get at apart from the 2 in the rear floor which can only be accessed by cutting into the shell

As for the bumpers to look neat, you would have to cut the metal inner part of the bumper & move it up & re-weld it ;)

As above mate and that's the cheapest kit on the market too. Nice co. and they also do a gear stick extension bit if you want and one for the hi/lo lever, about £10 I think.
You may find the hi/lo lever clashes with the plastic gear gaiter thing; if so you can either bend the lever or cut a bit of plastic out  guess which I did :lol

Do you need a grinder :augie :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Off topic :augie

Should of seen me with a Reciprocating Saw :sly :augie :D :naughty :p

front and back bumpers need to come off, 4 bolts for each very easy.

I had trouble finding somewhere to lift it from with a jack so borrowed my mates manitou. LWB may be easier for space.

I just put the hi-lift under the rear floor seam :thumb2 and trolley jack under the front foot well

Body lift to allow better axle movement but more importantly bigger tyres :sly :naughty :D

If your not going bigger than 33"s then don't bother  ;) :thumbs

so for a 265 75 16 tyre, you gain nothing from a body lift ?

and 31" tyres with dislocation cones and 2" longer shocks, are fine without body lift ?

Cool, scrap the body lift then ...

For now :D

snorkle then Tires first, then shocks and cones

It won't look as big but as the old saying goes "if it aint broke, don't fix it".!
So once the tyres are on etc, "if" it hits, then do the body lift

The Rat is on 31"s with no body lift & doesn't hit so I gain by keeping a low center of gravity & doing the more over grown lanes :sly :naughty :D :augie

Bigger isn't always better :augie

remember hes got a lwb, so he will have to buy the +2" springs . unlike us who can pop lwb springs in for pence :augie

The cone will do the job & he won't need longer springs ;)

SWB or LWB, the best off road combo is +2" Shock with LWB Spring & Disco 1 dislocation cone ;) :thumbs

he wont get any spring lift except what you get from the cone, whats that 12mm . he'll want the +2 lwb springs .even with 31's on they will rub if the arb is off
