hummingbird as you have done this, have you thought of making/selling a kit to do this?

I'm going to look into some more (longer) springs for mine at which point the LWB springs I have will be up for grabs and I intend doing another body lift so then my existing one will be available but I've toyed with putting a kit together. I've just done one of the new extended splash guards for the inner wing, but really need to source more material, can't rely on finding nits of curtain side on the hard shoulder of the M1

I just used innertube off tractors tyres, not exactly flat but pretty good.

What are you replacing the body lift with? sorry for sugesting you wouldnt do a kit.

I agree with jace no way i would lie down for it, if they have made a bad job for good money, start by complaining to them in writing so the dispute is established and then take it from there. Jace's option is good if you live close enough!

how far can you wind the torion bars up before it throws the wheel caster (or is it camber) way out and starts eating tyres? I ask because we wound mine up and down on a ramp with all the laser alligment stuff attatched and the height change did ahave a small affect on the geometry!

how flexible does the extended splash guard stuff need to be? i have some sheets of thin polycarbonate that is strong and pretty flexible that have been knocking around for ages?

i had mine wound up allway then took it for one them lazer thingys to have it checked apart from having to tighten wheel bearing an go back it was fine!

Yes you are both correct, but where will it get me, 99.9% sure that it would be know where and for all the hasel, They have money to the correct amount as they asked for and I am not gona get anything back. I hade thought of a letter of complaint but paper and writing is worth nothing they still wont give a damn.

I don't have any tractor inner tubes to use but good idea, might do that next time as I know where to get some. The curtain side was just lying there whilst I was waiting for the AA after the turbo went on my van so I shoved it in the back, its only a small bit though, enough for maybe 2 pairs.

I'm thinking of replacing the 60mm lift with a 100mm one maybe even 125. I'm aiming to get 33" tyres under or possibly 35"s but I need to look at the gearing first, could do with some 5.1 diff. They're available for the rear but I'll have to change the front R180 diff completely for a R190 or R200. Haven't heard of it being done as a front diff change but the RWD Datsun/Nissan guys do it so it is possible.

To be honest I don't know, I don't drive enough miles on the road for it to be a concern for me so I haven't worried about it. The camber did go from slightly positive to perhaps the negative side of straight up when I wound em up and I've found that made it hold the road better and the way I did it it should help negate scrubbing the outer edges off cornering.

There needs to be some give in it just to get it into place as its not a flat area you're putting it over, also the body will move relative to the chassis as its all rubber bushed so I don't think ploycarb' would be suitable to be honest, perhaps polyprop' would be though, you can heat that up with an air gun to bend it and its a lot less brittle than polycarb'.

Oooooooooo 5" of body lift, thats getting quite a bit!

Do you have any Ideas for making wheel arch extensions? I have a few but you seem to be quite creative and in the know! polyprop may be good for this, I think, still to rigid for skirting though, again I think!

I am going to try 35" tyres on next, anyone got some I could try on?

I think the easiest way to extend the arches on a Mav like HB's would be to fit the later models plastic arches. I'm sure we descused this HB when we were having lunch on the dales
