I've tried HT leads and dizzy capAm I right in thinking they are carbon plug leads they can be damaged relatively easily near the plugs & distributor connections - they seem to absorb damp. I like the old fashioned way with a copper wire even if the radio crackles.
Are the plugs the right ones if you have changed them recently?
Can't see a LT connection being affected by damp in the same way.
It's 20 years ago but I did once have new distributor cap that went faulty - it was the carbon contact in the centre.
No fuel getting to it
