Good engine from the off road motor, which came from the motor I scrapped a while ago, now ready to go into my on road T2, together with a new clutch, the original has done 120k, I know it is original as when I came to separate the engine from the gear box the mastic was still intact and had to be prised apart, now all I have to do is create a good engine from the three I have as spare for the off road fun motor, Rick

Sorry hit the wrong button

Sorry for lack of pics but been hard at it, and finally the old girl is up and running again, sweet as a nut, and the fans are just perfect, kick in just above normal running temp and drop out a few degrees lower, did have a moment when I thought they were not working well as the temperature climbed but no fan! only to find the 30 amp fuse had gone, I had tested them with this fuse without the engine running, but with engine running the battery/alternator voltage/amperage is greater so found I needed a 40 amp fuse, I might well fit a dropper resistor and add a two stage sensor in the future as it would make sense to bring the fans in at a slower rate for most times only kicking in high rate when needed, as now you can tell instantly when the fans come on as the idle revs drop distinctly due to the alternator load, but whatever I AM MOBILE AGAIN, Rick
