1998 Mistral wiper problem ..

the wipers on my mistral are playing up .. sometimes they they wont go back to start position and stop half way if i turn them off. Also the iintermittant setting doesnt work at all ....

ive heard it could be the relay contacts playing up but where is it and how do i clean the contacts ?

i dunno , never had to look for em , im guessing under the bonnet ( drivers side )

That will be the auto park contacts in the wiper motor, white cover on side of motor, remove cover ,clean contacts, five minute job and on cost !!

Also new problem today ! ..

Recently had the brake foot pedal switch replaced which releases the drive stick on autos .. until you press the brake pedal and hear it click you cannot get into drive ....

so new one was fitted and all was well until few days back when the switch again would not click and release the drive ....

tonight took me 15 minutes to get it to click so i could use it ..

is this switch failure a common problem on these autos ?
