They don't look half as big on but I needed a spare. now I have two spares.

only problem I have now is that the 37" spare is too big for the back door:doh

So I guess a roof mount is in order, leaving space on the rear door for some other useful bit of inspiration:nenau

As long as it's not too heavy to be getting it up there and taking it down when needed.
Rear shelving looks good.
 
I can manage it for now...
I have a spare spare wheel carrier that can be bolted to the roof rack and a padlock to keep it there:thumb2
I can then make a decent cycle carrier for the rear door:thumb2

Do I need to ask for photos when it's done?
 
As I thought the new wheel n tyre doesn't go any where near on the carrier:doh
Easiest solution for now is ratchet astrap ti to the roof rack and secure with a chain n padlock.

yes it is heavy but shouldn't need to take it down too often:augie
And the rear visibility is quite good till I get it loaded up
 
Had the wheels off today while I nipped the bearings up.

After a bit of paint on the wheels, a clean off under the nsr arch and a bit more paint we're not looking too bad:nenau

Also finished off the rear arch in black and got the Tcut n polish out:clap

These patrols do have some area of paintwork to be covered:eek:

What total height and width does the beast stand at now?

I'm 6'2" and the bottom of the roof rack is above my head by a good few inches. Can't find a tape measure a t m but I'll have a measure later:thumb2
Will it be this clean this time next week:nenau:augie

85" to the top bar of the roof rack.

1980mm arch to arch...:eek:
