Every now and then i get a puddle of water on the N S F floor matt Any ideas please on a post card to :lol Joking apart Where the hell is it coming from. Think i may of asked this question before But i got the old age memory thing called errrrrrrr :doh

I'll have that 2day too! If its the matrix u should b getting high on the antifreeze, could be any of above but also check the bulkhead just below the window on that side, thats where mine leaks from . Really need 2 fix it

My drivers side carpet is soaked. Found one 50p size rust hole just below the windscreen. fixed it, still wet. Cleaned all drain holes, still wet. Checked bulkhead for holes or knackered gromets, still wet. Suggestions apart from drain holes in the floor

Do not overlook the tail gate top seal, this can run water cabin side of the rubber and the water follows the cable trunking down to the front, the give away is small damp patch on rear carpet NS, after that cos it is in the trunking the intermediate carpet stays dry, Rick

nsf is usually water coming over door sill, under bonnet release.

crud behind nsf mud flap stops water draining away so comes
into cabin.

Thanks for that all What i will say is when the vehicle is standing over night is when this happens mats are dry not the sun roof don't have one not coming over the sill vehicle not moving ! Got to be round the air-con me thinks

Just cured this last week.
There are 2 access panels in the scuttle for the wiper linkage to accomodate both left and right hand drive configurations.
Mine was leaking at the nearside one just above the fan intake which then ran straight through and down the nearside heating tracts for the front and rear footwells.

Access as follows:

Remove bonnet then hinges (the plastic trim below can't get past the hinges)
Remove wipers
Remove plastic trim that runs along the base of the windscreen

You now have access to the 2 linkage access covers.
Unscrew the 4 phillips screws from each, clean the mating surfaces and apply a bead of silicon sealant (i used Wynns engine gasket which comes in a useful pressurised can)

Next morning after a rainy night i still had a dry footwell for the first time!


*When removing the wipers this can be done with controlled hits if you know what you're doing and don't have a puller/removal tool. You CAN break the plastic supports for the spindles if you're too aggresive. Hit at the ring of the wiper arm as sideways as possible while applying downward pressure at the hinge .

*The plastic trim around the base of the windscreen has a phillips screw in the centre and two plastic plunger clips one at each side. These are inconspicuous and you lever the plunger out with a small flat screwdriver.

*When i has the plastic trim off i resecured the rubber seal that was half hanging off it back on with more liquid gasket

I did a similar repair to mine, but I didn't have to take the bonnet off, mines an early model so maybe a bit different though.

i have the same problem. Big puddle in the passenger footwell after driving through floods today.

YES did mine last week same problem, dry this week just got to stop the n/s cill filling with water :nenau not found were its getting in.:nenau laurie Ash

check your windscreen is sealed properly as that was where mine was leaking!

Open both front doors and look below the hinges. You'll see the cavity under the wing behind the plastic arch liner. At the bottom of this cavity it gets really full of crud. Hose all the crud out of there on both sides.
