60 amps is some serious current to be flying around ya bedroom ......

It's fine, its more a workshop if anything, even used a angle grinder up their a few times :augie

My bed is separate to where I do work

just curious what safety / fire precautions you have in place mate

I have 2 fire extinguishers, one co2 and another foam I think, flammable materials are kept high off the work area so no risk their, also, the main plug I use for testing/running electrical things had a breaker. Ohh and I'm in the process if rigging up a good extractor fan system

OK how about this solution. Make like a small kennel outside, place battery in there and run cables from charger and feed to bedroom from there. That way you can still use the battery and charge with no risk of spills or worse in your bedroom. If charger wires and feed wires are all good connections there shouldn't be any sparks. Use good fuses at battery end of all cables. Make a fused distribution board in your bedroom with multiple outputs all fused nice and safe.

This I'm sure will appeal to your sense of adventure and general playing:thumbs

Indeed it does:naughty will need some huge jump leads as my house is quite tall, not a bungalow

I like it jim :thumb2 , could even put 2 or 3 batteries in parallel to increase the enormous current available if required

Aye, that'll work as I'll just sit the battery under the kitchen window and have cables running up to my window and through

Ahh and don't forget for good measure a wind turbine

2.5mil twin and earth will sort low current supply no probs. As for any heavy load it still may be safer done outside.
