A mate gave me these, they crimp on, then heat shrink and they have glue in them that melts and runs a little before setting!! I'm gonna get some of the other sizes too :thumb2

I've used them in the past, they are very good, only problem is, don't make a mistake, you have to cut the entire length out to replace, which can leave you with wires that are too short to reach. :augie :augie
 
I love using those save's messing about with heatshrink in hard to reach places too.
 
Never had much luck with them.

Crimps are so much better
 
Does depend on where you are using them, these ones can be safely used outside the car, and the heatshrink acts as a strain releif as well. They are just the same as the crimp ones with extra protection, and just need a heat gun to soften the sealing glue and shrink the cover. If you don't do the heat bit, then they are exactly the same as the normal crimps.

Never had the standard crimp last more than a couple of years when exposed to the elements, even with doing like Rick and assembling them with silicone grease, but these outlast the average car.
