OK get real, any pressure washer that is going to be any good can be run from a 12 volt dc source but forget your average car battery, about 70 amp hours you will need 500 amp hours min and it will last for an hour or so, Rick

i suppose it gives you a decent hose pipe pressure plus where you have no mains water. My thought's are? a lot of cash when a bucket and a brush would do, but then i'm a tight wad

Well the problem is when we've been offroading Team Wales style :sly the rad and brakes etc at least need a broody good wash out:augie
A brush is no good to clean out the rad core and would probably just fold the fins over :doh
Someone mentioned a fire extinguisher but I dont know what type etc.
We're not looking for car valleting here just a way of de-mucking the important bits

OK I see your point, a low power washer 12v used while engine running may just do the job, in fact for clearing rad fins low power is a plus if you hit at a bit of an angle, less likely to bend fins, I used to have a low power washer on the narrow boat, but would never dare run it unless the engine was running, and I had 880 Ah worth of batteries, with 150 amps charge rate from 2 alternators, I would keep a good eye on the battery voltage, as if this unit pulls say 70 amps and your alternator only puts out 60 you could end up with a flat battery, Rick

Oh just had a look at the MOBI, forget it I can pee faster than that, :nenau:nenauI thought we were talking about a PRESSURE WASHER, as in pressure washer, I will look at the one I used on the boat and get its spec, but it was of the shelf 240 volt so an inverter would be needed, but it is a pressure washer, Rick

To use a fire extinguisher you need an old water one with a schaeder valve (a car tyre valve) - fill with the relevant amount of water an dthen presurise with foot pump or compressor.

Another easy portable for doing rads etc is one of those pump up gargen sprayers that hold from 5-20litre. Not as powerful as a proper jet wash but won't damahe your rad either - pressure washers on rads are not a good idea really.

My little washer is 1400 watts 1200 max psi but regulateable down to about 50 psi (lowers the watts too) @ around 370 lts per hour, you would need a 2000 watt inverter to run this, at full power it will take around 110 amps, a good little washer for small jobs but not to good for real mud blasting, it will take it off but very slow, by comparison your more normal jet wash is around 2.5 kw 1800 psi at around 450 lts per hour, Rick

Well as said by Pete aka "makeitfit" i want something to clean the RAD mainly & wheels if there isnt a car wash near by or on route.!

Tried the hand pump type & they dont shift WELSH clay n mud

There's no easily damaged bits It takes great skill and a heavy right boot to break things the Team Wales way :lol

Off your battery with the engine running it will last for as long as the engines running & with the engine off i wouldnt dream of using anything like that as it would just zap the power from the battery :augie

Wouldnt brush a rad due to risk of damage plus ya'd only push the mud in :doh

Tried 1 of these & i'd do better spitting than using it :nenau



Looked into it more today & they are willing to do a money back 5 day offer & or a demonstration
